The Gijutsu believe that technology is the savior of Earth. They have dedicated their lives towards the advancement of the planet and their bodies, which involves elaborate buildings filled with technology and augmenting every part of their body that might give them an edge in defeating the rival Societies. None are more advanced than them, but some believe they've lost part of their humanity along the way.

Based out of the island of Hokkaido, the Amaterasu follow the old gods of Japan and use their energy to give their weapons great power. Their belief gives them the strength to do what was previously thought impossible, from shooting energy beams from their hands to breaking steel walls with their fists; the power of the old gods makes them nearly unmatchable in the current age.

The Yakuza have been slowly building their power for many decades, methodically planning their domination of the other Societies. The brute force tactics enforced by their thugs leave them the most feared of the groups. What they lack in technological might they make up for in underhanded brutality, forcing their people to follow the laws they impose.

When magic poured through the realm, the culture of Tohoku was flooded with vast amounts of magic and creatures. The citizens learned to coexist and channel the magic and formed the Bengoshi Society. They created an elite school to train their members how to channel their new powers called the Elementalist Acadamy of Sendai or EAS. With their focus on defending themselves and the world at large they have become a fearsome society aiming to protect the country under their control, harnessing the power of the earth around them.

After the collision of our worlds and the chaos it brought, the governmental force within Japan was severely weakened. Much of the mainland was claimed by the emerging Societies causing the previous government to splinter. The main military force of Japan formed the Shinsekai in the Kansai region. With their goal of reclaiming the whole of Japan by force, they aim to revert or at least manage the chaos that entered the world along with myth.
